Scotty Cameron 1997 Masters Winner Newport TeI3 Teryllium

  

This one has has a tiny bit of shop wear from office putting. There is also a small mark on the Topline and Gun Metal coating on face was taken off for added light when putting at dusk but is still very usable. We were going to send it to Scotty's Custom Shop for a makeover but never got around to it. This was new and never saw a golf course with shaft stickers still intact.

Only a little office abuse. This is the 1998 model and one of Tiger's Favorite! The Newport model draws its inspiration from the Classic 1, one of the first putters produced by Cameron Golf International in late 92, and made famous in the 93 Masters win.

The Newport has a plumbing neck for 1/4 toe hang. The Newports radius topline and softened edges create a more natural, soft look, and the use of a teryllium inlay produces a distinctly soft sound and feel.

Teryllium, an alloy of 12 metals backed by an elastomer membrane, produces the softest feel in the Cameron line. Evidence of the new alloys exceptional performance characteristics can be found in the TeI3 Newports role in winning the 1997 Masters.
